OUR MISSION
To glorify God by sharing Jesus Christ and meeting human needs as we love each other and our local community.
OUR VISION
The Chesmont family seeks to become a bold, growing, and diverse body of believers, who are students of God’s Word and ministers of the Gospel. We want to love and heal broken lives in our community and globally.
OUR CORE BELIEFS
We hold the Bible to be God's word, the only source of our faith and practice. Our objective is to "restore" the New Testament church in our time - to determine from the Bible what the church was like in the beginning, and to be like that. We believe this is a worthy and reverent goal.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN VISITING
When we meet to worship as a body, we do all things exclusively to honor God. When you join us, you can expect a healthy dose of variety. We are made up of people of all ages, walks of life, cultures, and backgrounds. Some will be dressed more formally, others will be dressed casually.
We sing a capella, led by one of our song leaders. We partake in the Lord's Supper weekly. We give all members an opportunity to contribute to the work of the church weekly. Biblical teaching is a big part of our assembly and everyone has a chance to respond to God's word and be prayed over. If you have young children, we have an attended nursery during morning worship service.
LOCATION AND FACILITIES – A UNIQUE RELATIONSHIP
The church currently meets on the campus of Coventry Christian Schools (CCS). Our partnership with the school allows us the ability to use the chapel, classrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, and playground. The church's office is also located on the school's campus. The church and the school have a unique opportunity to reach school families with the gospel. We are committed to working cooperatively with CCS which currently has an enrollment of approximately 500 students in Pre-School through 12th grade. The members and staff of our congregation interface regularly with students by our presence in the school building, giving counsel when needed. Our strong relationship with the school also provides many ministry and service opportunities.
